Are electric vans still VAT-exempt in Azerbaijan?
No. The VAT exemption on importing and selling electric and hybrid vehicles expired on 1 January 2026, as the head of customs confirmed in November 2025 (APA report). Other duty rules for EVs may still apply; the State Customs Committee is the authority to check.
Does vehicle age matter?
We found no general import age ban, but excise rates for older passenger cars have been rising. New 2026 vans avoid that question entirely; if you consider a used 2024 or 2025 Yangguang, ask your broker how its age affects the cost.
Which versions suit Baku businesses?
